Good option

The hotel is in a central location and offered a decent buffet breakfast. The apartments were comfortable and included a private sauna.

Housekeeping was listed as included on our booking but when we arrived we were advised it is only included for stays of 8 nights or more.

Wonderful

The hotel is nice, in a perfect spot and has a beautiful view. The room has a nice little terrace to admire the snow all around. The food at the restaurant was great and so was the breakfast. The staff was super kind. We had a pleasant stay here!

I think the room looked a bit old, considering the price for one night. Some things might need a bit of a renovation, expecially the shower and the wash basin.

Big Hotel with group tours — Convenient Apartment with Hearty Breakfast

Plentiful and delicious breakfast! Delightfully surprised at the array of off-season fresh fruit like melons, watermelon, and plums. Enjoyed the variety of cold and hot drinks and juices, as well as the hot foods. I didn’t eat the waffles. We had an apartment which was a manageable and pretty walk to the main hotel, even for my mobility challenged mother. We had two 2 bedrooms and one 1 bedroom booked. Their configurations were all different, and the management allowed us to check in early and had booked rooms close together, which was great. My parents really enjoyed their 1 bedroom and felt it was cozy. The sauna was lovely and I especially enjoyed the ability to go out to the snowy balcony to cool ourselves down. We stayed only 2 nights so didnt’ need it, but there was plentiful storage — Altho not a ton of space to open up the suitcases themselves. There are a few shops plus a bar and restaurant which were appreciated. I wish they had a bigger lobby to just hang out, esp if you couldn’t check in early — but not a deal breaker. The reception person was very kind. Walking distance to Kuukeli (?) shop and many restaurants. We had a car and the parking was easy and convenient.

For breakfast: If I had to grumble, sometimes there was a line for the waffles, which made it difficult to get to the coffee! I understand this is a big hotel that caters to tour groups, so it had that kind of “big group” vibe to it. This is not a critique but an observation. Our rooms were nice enough, but the furniture is definitely utilitarian and “family” oriented (dings and such). This goes for the dishes in the room — I think there was only 1 bowl (!) but some big mugs that worked for things like soup and cereal. In one bedroom, the bed was squished in a way that we literally couldn’t close the door!!!

A very low quality facility. Very shabby, out-of-dated, very touristic, crowds of tourists, expensive, big big breakfast

A very good breakfast, but crowds of people in the buffet. Balcony and the view is beautiful.

The booking shows 4 stars, but the room is less than 3. The pictures of the hotel do not reflect the reality. The hotel facade and architecture is beautiful, but inside it is way too shabby. Our suite was less than a three-star room: very shabby, old furniture, no sockets, where needed, not even at the bedhead, the beds were not comfortable, sink cracked, shower leaking the way it flooded the entire bathroom and toilet. The renovation is needed for the entire facility, now it is 80’-90’. The sauna is separate for men and women, closes 8pm and is on the first floor, not convenient. However there are rooms with sauna inside. Crowds of tourist groups, not a feeling of serenity or rest in Lapland. Very expensive. The town is small, so any location is good here. Definitely do not recommend, better have a stay in log houses, that are very nice here!

i liked the sauna in the apartment.

pillows and mattresses need to be replaceable. also the cleaners should come and leave the towels. in 5 days never came to change the towels.. all the time need to go to the reception and ask for towels.

Pleasant 2-night stay

The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a great area, in walking distance to a shopping center and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious (we had a 1-bedroom apartment).

The rooms are a bit dated and could use some refurbishing. The buffet hall is also old fashioned, but if you choose a la carte dining, the back room is elegantly decorated.
